Internship Opportunities:

Center of Science and Industry COSI – Based on observations, evaluation, and research students develop resources, programs, or activities that will further COSI’s mission in providing early childhood education and preparing young children for lifelong learning.  Students help to plan, design and manage the creative process for various Education Programs.

Defense Supply Construction Center DSCC
- Students use STEM training to conduct research and design of tools and products related to workforce development facilities. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for the student intern to realize all facets of the job or profession of his or her interest or working area.

Ohio STEM Learning Network OSLN - Students engage in media analysis of STEM schools and work with Battelle and OSLN professionals help gauge the statewide media coverage to discover how these regions communicate and through what mediums they communicate about STEM education. In addition, the interns work with the OSLN to identify regionally-specific approaches to working with the media.

OSU Super Computer Center
– Students conduct research on the users of the Ohio Supercomputer Center resources at universities and industry to understand how they use our resources and what impacts it has on education and business.  Students conduct research on modeling and simulation examples that are used in classrooms to teach concepts in the sciences and engineering.

Battelle – Students begin by spending 2 weeks in the Communications department, learning about the history and capabilities of Battelle.  Students proceed to engage in the research and documentation of innovative products related to a variety of industries. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for the student intern to realize all facets of the job or profession of his or her interest or working area.
